The first live show of Pinoy Boyband Superstar has ended and it seems that we should be used to being sad after every Saturday night's episode as the judges name the weakest group at the end of the episode. Sunday nights would be sadder, though, because one boyband member wannabe would be going home.
The first group to perform, composed of Ford Valencia, James Ryan Cesena and Joao Constancia, was the judges' pick for this week's strongest, thus, named "Boyband of the Week." As a result, the group became automatically safe from this week's elimination and will have a special performance on the live Sunday show.
Ford, James and Joao performed Picture of You by Boyzone and their good vocals, cute choreography and energetic vibe resulted into winning this week. The song choice could have played a big factor, but of course, the effort of the three boys should be commended.
Meanwhile, the second group to perform (composed of Henz Villaraiz, Markus Paterson and Niel Murillo) was named the weakest. They performed I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys and the performance was indeed weak. Vocals was not good, especially the harmony.
As the result of being the weakest group, each of the members will have to sing individually in the next episode to convince the judges that they are worthy of staying in the competition. One of them will be saved by the judges, one by public votes, and the other one will be eliminated.
Voting will be done during one commercial gap only, so if your favorite boyband member wannabe is in danger of being eliminated, be sure to have your cellphones (and/or computers) ready so you can help save him.
