Pia Guanio has left GMA-7's evening news, "24 Oras," where she hosted the entertainment news segment "Chika Minute" for eleven years.
On Friday morning, Pia posted a series of messages on Twitter, saying she would be appearing on the news program for the last time that night.
"So after 11 years of doing Chika Minute on @24OrasGMA, I've decided to say good bye tonight," she posted.
According to the TV host, she's quitting the program to have more time with her family.
"I'm doing this to be able to spend more time with Steeve and especially Scarlet," she added.
Pia, however, will still be seen in the noontime show "Eat Bulaga!" as well as on GMA News TV's "Homebase."
GMA-7, meanwhile, released a statement regarding Pia's leaving "24 Oras."
After 11 years at the forefront of showbiz news, Pia Guanio has decided to say goodbye to Chika Minute on 24 Oras.
