Guilty or Not?

In Bulacan, Baron Geisler attended the arraignment of the case Acts of Lasciviousness filed against him by Yasmien Kurdi last May 2010. Baron filed a “Not Guilty Plea” against the two counts of acts of lasciviousness and two counts of unjust vexation filed against him by the actress. Yasmien couldn’t help but cry questioning the grounds of sexual harassment, asking if sexual harassment is only applicable to those acts resulting in rape?

When asked if he would ever apologize to Yasmien, the actor said, “Of course, not.” He believes that he has not done anything to apologize about.

Baron Geisler was also pressed with questions regarding the alleged boob-grabbing incident with award-winning actress Cherry Pie Picache on the set of ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series, Noah. But just like the other reports of lewd behavior against him, he denied that he sexually harassed Cherry Pie saying that he was just “in character” when the incident happened.

P.A.M.I. (Professional Artists Management, Inc.) meanwhile had an emergency meeting regarding the letter complaint filed by Ed Instrella, Cherry Pie’s manager. Both Baron and Cherry Pie’s managers are PAMI members therefore, they are under the association’s rules.

Dated January 19, 2011, the statement released by P.A.M.I. regarding the incident reads:

P.A.M.I. just concluded an emergency meeting in response to the letter of complaint received from Mr. Ed Instrella (Manager of Cherry Pie Picache) against actor Baron Geisler.

After hearing both sides from the two P.A.M.I. members, Ed and Arnold, the P.A.M.I. has decided on the following:

1. That all P.A.M.I. managed artists should not be exposed to incidents like this again for their safety and security;

2. We are requesting the assurance from all networks and movie producers to ensure that any actor in an intoxicated state should not be allowed on the set;

3. That Baron should publicly apologize to Cherry Pie Picache;

4. To inhibit all P.A.M.I. managed artists from working with Baron until such time that P.A.M.I. believes Baron Geisler is fully rehabilitated.

Arnold Vegafria, Baron’s manager, accepted the decision of the organization saying that it is for the best of both sides.

The decision actually is for the best of everyone. It’s just too bad that it had to happen to Cherry Pie first before they came up with these rules.

Arnold also added that Baron has already started his counseling sessions with his doctors - including a psychologist, a toxicologist, an internist, and a counselor (spiritual?). By this week, Baron will enter the rehab.

Baron, on the other hand, is tight-lipped about that.
