Newcomer Carla Abellana To Play Rosalinda
Carla Abellana, the daughter of 80's heartthrob Rey "PJ" Abellana, will play the title role of GMA 7's upcoming, Rosalinda.
Many have thought Marian Rivera would be doing the role since she's the one who did Marimar. But GMA is giving it to a new talent.
Carla have done countless commercials, Palmolive (with Ricky Reyes) is among the most notable ones. She was even featured once in Imbestigador (with dad and sister who also does modelling) when their (hers and her sister's) talent manager embezzled the money which supposedly was their talent fee.
Just like Marimar, Rosalinda is another of Thalia's Mexican television series being remade into a Filipino version.
But who would the leading man be? Should be someone already big to carry a pretty newcomer into stardom.
