After the much talked about snubbing incident at a Christmas party last year, Julia Barretto has reconciled with her father, Dennis Padilla, as seen in a recent post of the teen star on her Instagram account late Wednesday night.
The photo shows Julia and Dennis being wacky in front of the camera. It was captioned, "Papa being his comedian self."
The "Mirabella" actress will be celebrating her 18th birthday next month, but after the controversial snubbing issue, many thought Dennis wouldn't be attending (or get invited at) Julia's debut.
The above photo, however, shows that the two are now okay... at least for the meantime.
Does this mean Dennis will be attending Julia's 18th birthday party in March? I sure hope so.
But will Julia still push through with her petition to change her legal surname from Baldivia (Dennis' real surname) to Barretto (her mom's)? Now that's another story.
Dennis has been separated with Julia's mom, former actress Marjorie Barretto, for years already. Their marriage was annulled in 2009 because Dennis was married to another woman when he and Marjorie tied the knot in 1997. The marriage between Dennis and Marjorie, so to peak, had been null and void from the start.
