The small blue creatures are coming in 3D this August as Columbia Pictures presents The Smurfs in 3D which will drop August 10th in the Philippines.
Directed by Raja Gosnell, the movie stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Hank Azaria, and Sofia Vergara, and the voices of Jonathan Winters (Papa Smurf), Katy Perry (Smurfette), George Lopez (Grouchy Smurf), Fred Armisen (Brainy Smurf), Jeff Foxworthy (Handy Smurf), Paul Reubens (Jokey Smurf), Gary Basaraba (Hefty Smurf), John Oliver (Vanity Smurf), Kenan Thompson (Greedy Smurf),B.J. Novak (Baker Smurf), Wolfgang Puck (Chef Smurf), and Anton Yelchin as the new smurf who wasn't in the comics or animated tv show, Clumsy Smurf.
Storyline:
When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours – in fact, smack dab in the middle of New York’s Central Park. The Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.
The Smurfs in 3D is showing in IMAX 3D and conventional theaters on August 10, 2011.
