In the video, Angeline is shown doing odd jobs like being a bus conductor and the teaser exhibited such funny scenes that I can’t wait for the series to start.

“Mutya”

First saw the full trailer of Mutya last Tuesday. It features a new child actress by the name of Mutya Orquia in the title role.

It's quite interesting to note that Ahron Villena (playing the role of Zale) is now back in ABS-CBN after transferring to GMA-7 for Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown.

Come to think of it, Survivor gave Ahron the sexy image, the reason why Walker underwear got his services as its model.

Another former Kapuso seen on the trailer is Alfred Vargas, who is playing the role of Prinsipe Irvin, the father of Mutya. After not having a project for a long time in GMA-7, I think it’s best that he transferred to ABS-CBN.

Others in the cast who play key characters include Precious Lara Quigaman as Cordelia (the human mother of Mutya), Niña Jose as Nerissa (the mermaid Prinsipe Irvin is arranged to marry), Jason Gainza as Tonyo (Mutya’s adoptive father), Tess Antonio as Ester (Mutya’s adoptive mother), Jarius Aquino as Aries (biological son of Tonyo and Ester), and Sandy Andolong as Madam Delilah.

Mutya premieres January 31, 2011 right after Noah. It was originally scheduled to air February 7th after Noah goes off-air, but perhaps the strong viewership of the new show in the other network prompted ABS-CBN to release this fantaserye sooner than planned.

With its swimming mermaids (and hot ones at that), I guess this one will make it high in the ratings.

Ian Batherson is Sunjoy Sexy

Not just Ahron Villena, but Ian Batherson also got an underwear endorsement after his Survivor Philippines stint. I was actually surprised to see Ian Batherson wearing only a pair of black briefs on his Facebook account’s display picture. Browsing for more pics, I found out he’s the new endorser of Sunjoy briefs.

It’s actually the lesser brand compared to Ahron’s Walker, but what the hey! An endorsement is still an endorsement. And Ian actually looks sexier than Ahron, don’t you think?

Survivor Philippines castaway Ahron Villena, together with Nikki Gil and Ronnie Liang became the newest Regal Babies when they signed movie contracts with the film outfit last September 30 at the Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City.

Ahron’s 4-year contract includes a 16-movie deal. Not bad.

SP: Celebrity Showdown’s Pilot is the Most Watched

logo Chika Minute reports that the pilot episode of Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown was the most viewed television program in the Philippines last night. It was so successful that it ranked 2nd in Twitter’s trending topics, higher than the Emmys which was at number 4 that time.

The celebrity castaways with the host, Richard Gutierrez, watched the pilot episode together last night. They were laughing and cheering while watching, obviously so excited and happy with the product of their work. Richard even said “everything that we worked hard for comes down to this point.”

As to what the Filipinos can expect in the coming days, Ahron Villena said, “mas magiging maintriga, mas aabangan talaga ng mga televiewers.”
