For the 6th gala performance and expulsion night of Pinoy Dream Academy Little Dreamers, the eight remaining kids sang songs about growing up. Angelo could have been the outstanding little dreamer again with his song Awit ng Kabataan (Rivermaya) if not for his wrong use of air flow which resulted in cutting of some words. Philip also had flats and quite uncertain of a few notes at the beginning of his song Growing Up (Gary Valenciano). Amy gave a heartfelt performance of Lea Salonga's version of Someone's Waiting For You but also failed to be on top.
Kelly sang one of the juror's own hits - Aiza Seguerra's Pagdating ng Panahon - and the juror was quite happy with her own interpretation. Dean gave a mediocre performance of Anak by Freddie Aguilar, while Risie and Cristina belted out Because of You (Kelly Clarkson) and Yesterday's Dream (Donna Cruz) respectively.
Overall, it was a good night, and it was so good to know that the show's researchers seemed to favor OPM more than foreign songs. Five out of the eight songs were actually OPM, not counting Lea Salonga's Someone's Waiting For You because it was just a version and originally a foreign song.
At the end of the show, the jury composed of resident jurors Jimmy Antiporda, Aiza Seguerra and guest juror Jessa Zaragoza favored Aubrey's performance of Big Girls Don't Cry (Fergie Ferguson). It was Aubrey's first time to become the Outstanding Little Dreamer.
The other kids who have already received the Outstanding Little Dreamer award are Angelo, Philip, Cristina and Amy.
It was a sad night for Dean, though, because as part of the bottom two last week, he got the lesser number of votes compared to the other bottom 2, Kelly. Dean only got 42.34% and Kelly was saved for getting 57.66% of votes. It was Kelly's fourth time to be at the bottom, and fourth time to be saved. Dean put up a strong front when the result was announced but still cried afterwards.
Who could be the 6th set of bottom 2 kids? Find out next week on Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Little Dreamers.
