“Party Pilipinas” and “ASAP 2012” pay tribute to “Miss Saigon” (Videos)

The Miss Saigon fever is indeed back in the country as auditions for the musical’s revival in the West End was held last week. Several well-known local singers auditioned for parts but only a few of them lasted till the last day, with the names of Kapuso singers Rachelle Ann Go, Frencheska Farr and Aicelle Santos on top of the list.

As regulars of GMA-7’s Sunday show Party Pilipinas, the three were joined on November 25 by Gian Magdangal, Robert Seña (who was part of the original Miss Saigon cast) and Rita de Guzman (who also auditioned last week but didn’t make it).

Celso Ad. Castillo passes away at 69

Veteran director, actor and producer Celso Ad. Castillo passed away early morning of Monday, November 26, 2012, at the age of 69.

Castillo reportedly died of cardiac arrest around 2am in his house in Sinoloan, Laguna, where his remains currently lie in state.
