Caballero Universal 2024 to crown winner on Oct. 25

Caballero Universal is set to crown a new king this October 25, and I can say that majority of the participating men are deserving of the crown if it would be based on looks alone.

The Philippines doesn't have a representative this year. As far as I know, we only joined this male pageant once - in 2022 with Andre John Cue, who (out of 15 candidates) became part of the Top 10.

I hope we get to join this pageant again in the future, and I also hope we get to send someone at least 6 feet tall.

Just look at these Caballero Universal 2024 candidates:

Australia, Nicholas Callaghan

Bolivia, Juan Pablo Prudencio

Tagaytay restaurant cancels reservation in favor of influencer

A restaurant in Tagaytay is making noise as of late, but not because of its food, service or ambience, but because of a negative "feedback" from a Tiktok user.

According to the post, they were assured of the reservation and was made to pay for a reservation fee.

However, when they arrived at the restaurant on the day of the reservation, they were told that their reservation was cancelled because it was given to an influencer.

This incident happened a month after another Tagaytay restaurant also became viral for refusing to let an aspin in despite the establishment being advertised as "pet friendly."

Miss Ukraine withdraws from Miss Grand International 2024

A few hours before the Miss Grand International 2024 national costume competition, news about the withdrawal of Miss Ukraine Kateryna Bilyk from the pageant hit the news.

According to an official statement posted on Instagram, Bilyk said she was forced to withdraw from the pageant "due to severe harm to my health caused by the conditions of the event."

She said she was "required to participate in activities" from very early in the morning until very late at night.

The beauty queen also said she had to work even while having a fever.

She was also "given an unidentified pill by the MGI team, which posed a potential allergy risk."

The team also "failed to call a doctor when I fainted and forced me to continue working with a fever of 38.5°C and [blood] pressure of 151/90."

She also alleged that "the organizers confiscated my passport for three days in Cambodia, unlawfully restricting my freedom of movement."

Meanwhile, Miss Grand International posted on Facebook regarding the "Dismissal of Miss Grand Ukraine 2024, Ms. Kateryna Bilyk."

According to the post, the decision to dismiss Bilyk came "as a result of her violation of several terms outlined in the contestant agreement, which she had acknowledged and signed prior to entering the pageant."

The post further stated that " Miss Grand International upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, and all contestants are expected to adhere to the rules and agreements set forth."

The post came with a screenshot of what seemed to be an e-mail sent to Miss Grand International by Natalya Kovalyova, president of Queen of Ukraine, the national pageant Bilyk won that earned her the right to represent Ukraine in MGI 2024.

Misters of Filipinas 2024 winners in crop tops

Winners of the recently-concluded Misters of Filipinas 2024 were seen wearing crop tops in the recent social media post of the pageant.

Crop top-wearing-men were (negatively) hyped when Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo was seen wearing one.

I personally don't see anything wrong with it, I don't even find it awkward, especially that Carlos wasn't among the first male Pinoy celebrities who wore such fashion.

But then again not every fashion trend fits everyone. Even some of the recent MOF 2024 winners don't look good in crop tops. But I adore some, especially Alei who rocked it.

Here's my ranking of the MOF 2024 winners in their crop top era:
