The movie is an official entry to the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) directed by Dan Villegas from the script of Antoinette Jadaone. It will also star Jennylyn Mercado.

According to its producer Atty. Joji Alonso, they have replaced JM because they could not wait for the actor's availability anymore.

"Jericho Rosales will take on the role of Ethan in Walang Forever. We can no longer wait for JM's availability," the producer confirmed to pep.ph.

This is the 2nd MMFF entry that JM's participation didn't push through. The 1st one was "San Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir" in 2013.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors that he will also be pulled out of the ABS-CBN series "All Of Me" where he plays one of the leads.

He has allegedly become a problem in the set and a pain to work with.

This rumor, though, is yet to be confirmed.

Also recently on Instagram, JM challenged fellow Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil to an amateur mixed martial arts fight. It was believed to be in connection with the controversial airplane incident between Enrique and JM's girlfriend Jessy Mendiola where the latter was allegedly offended by the former.

Breakup rumors soon followed saying JM and Jessy have already called it over, reason why the actor has been becoming hard to deal with again just like before he entered rehab in 2013.

Jessy, however, already denied the breakup in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
