SP: Palau - For Immunity and a Lil Lovin'

It's Immunity Challenge time once again in Survivor Philippines: Palau. Actually, it's the first Immunity Challenge since the regroup, but they have already been in a challenge (where Airai won fishballs galore) so the castaways pretty know already how their respective new group performs during a competition.

But tonight's challenge wasn't solely for the much coveted Immunity Idol. As Paolo related, a reward will also be given to the winning tribe.

And to give the castaways a taste of the reward to be had, Paolo gave each of them a picture of their loved one(s). That alone made the castaways so emotional and most of them cried.

To further torture lead them on, Paolo read part of the letter of one member from each tribe. For Airai, Paolo read part of Vlad's letter from his mom. And for Koror, he chose to read part of Echo's letter (also from her mom).

It goes on to say that the winning tribe will not only be spared from the Tribal Council the following day, but also get to read their loved ones' letters.

Paolo started the challenge by saying "For Immunity at konting pagmamahal!"

I'm sure it made the castaways give their best for the challenge, aside, of course, from Tara who was made to sit out by the Airai tribe to equal the members of Koror.

The challenge consisted of a steel cage (with no top and bottom) where the members of the tribe will get into. From the inside, they will carry the cage to 6 stations to get the 6 plates they need to use as weight to acquire the key to the cage. Once opened, the tribe inside the cage will go out and run to the mat with the name of their tribe.

One could sense that Koror now has such positive vibe going on. With Charles, Louie, and Tara transferred to Airai, you could sense the happiness and cooperation among them. It could be recalled that Echo hated Louie's constant bad mouthing. Charles was also not so positive since he was considered a weakling. As with Tara, she flirted so much with Suzuki and Louie that it somehow brought annoyance to the other tribe members.

The new additions to the tribe - Shaun, Jef, and Amanda - easily blended in the group. With Jef's happy nature and Amanda's sincerity, the old members of Koror easily liked them.

With regards to the other tribe, Vlad and Troy seem to like playing it dirty, but they don't have the ability to do it well. As Cris noted, Vlad even seemed to want to lose the challenge to get rid of one of them. Cris actually noticed Vlad not cooperating while the team was carrying the steel cage. Vlad and Cris took up the rear so Cris would really know what Vlad was doing.
Koror flag/survivorphilippines.tv As expected even in the early stages of the Immunity Challenge, the Koror tribe won the Immunity Idol, saving them from the Tribal Council and getting the letters of their loved ones as the promised additional reward.

Vlad, on the other hand, took no time in telling Charles and Amanda who to vote off at the council. He instructed them to go for Louie. Why Louie? Because according to the metrosexual castaway, Louie was planning on voting off Cris. Not so true, and Cris knew it was a lie when Louie approached him and the two were able to talk.

It seems like either Vlad or Troy is going tomorrow night. And if what tonight's episode was leading us to guess is at all true, would Justine ever have a chance to win against either Vlad or Troy? Physically, I don't know. Let's just hope it's a mind game. I'm kinda sure Justine has a better chance with that.
