I really believe that what the judges say influence how the people vote. Simon bashed David Cook after each song, while praising Archuleta after each performance. Even saying that it's a "knockout." Oh well, that's what they do to any contestant they wanna get booted off. It's just like saying "vote for Archuleta, we praised him."

Be that as it may, I was pleased with the results on dialidol.com... They predict that Cook will win against Archuleta with a 10% vote margin. They had been consistent with their predictions since Season 4. Hope they're still right this season.

Robi or Rona

Kung sino pa 'yong mga housemates na parehong matino at matalino, sila pang dalawa ang mga tanging nominado ngayong linggo. Sana man lang naging tatlo ang nominated para pareho silang may chance na mag-stay. I voted for Rona. Pero sa palagay ko si Robi ang mag-i-stay. Mas marami kasi sa voters ang mga babae (at bading). S'yempre si Robi ang mas matimbang sa mga puso nila. Pero sana mag-stay pa rin si Rona.

Si Beauty, nakakatuwa... Pinipilit mag-Ingles kahit balubaluktot. Siguro hindi n'ya alam na mali ang pag-i-Ingles n'ya. Pwede naman kasing Tagalugin. Diretso naman s'yang managalog, e.

Si Nicole naman parang palaging inaantok... Sabagay, wala na kasi si Josef.

Pinoy Idol Cast-off

this is a clip from the high ka diva portion of the defunct noontime show MTB... shown (among others) are angeli mae flores (included in the top 45 of pinoy idol) and musica cristobal (initial audition cast off of pinoy idol; wyngard tracy said she can't sing)...

obviously, musica sings better than angeli mae (who can't even form the words properly during high notes) in this clip, i.e. does angeli mae sing better now? we'll soon find out as pinoy idol pushes through.

Top 45 Pinoy Idol

Being paired with another contestant as part of the elimination process is quite hard. Magkakahatakan kasi ang magka-duet. Either pataas or pababa. Parang mali. Individual contest kasi. Kung makikipag-duet man sila, in my opinion, ay dapat do'n sa professional na lang. Hindi 'yong sa kapwa contestant. If with a pro, para makita kung mapapantayan 'yong star/voice quality ng pro singer. something like what they did sa Little Big Star dati. Anyway, opinion ko lang naman ito. I was trying to put myself kasi on the contestants' shoes.

Anyway last week pinakita ang luhaang si Musica Cristobal na sinabihan ni Wyngard Tracy na hindi marunong kumanta. And this week I saw Angeli Mae Flores na nakapasok sa Top 45. Sina Musica at Angeli Mae ay mga kasamahang finalists ni Sarah Geronimo sa dating Star For A Night ni Regine Velasques sa IBC 13. Angeli Mae also had a small speaking part with Angelika dela Cruz in an ABS-CBN soap before. She also used to be in ASAP. But after just one show where she sang with Martin Nievera, et. al. ay hindi na s'ya nakita pang muli. Sobrang out of tune kasi s'ya. Siguro dahil star struck s'ya sa mga kasamahan. Sayang si Musica. Mas magaling s'ya kaysa kay Angeli Mae.

The current Philippine Idol, Maureen Marcelo, was also one of Star For A Night's finalists with Sarah Geronimo.

Rona is Saved

So PBB thought 6 straight nominations is enough and they had to boot Josef out of the house. I like Josef, but I don't like Nicole. It would have been better if Nicole had been the one evicted, though. But either of the two is good enough. It would put a stop to the irritating sight of a "shy kuno" girl flirting her hea(r)t out.

I hope everyone would nominate Nicole for this reason: kailangan na niyang lumabas dahil nasa labas na si Josef. Haha.

Good thing the girl with the leadership ability, and one of the few who has brain, was saved. Cheers for Rona.
