Davao-based ladies win Hero Face Off 2015

Anime’ fans and enthusiasts had a blast during the annual Hero Face Off that took place at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia earlier this month. It was the biggest cosplay battle to date, celebrating the distinct Pinoy creativity as embodied in the year’s sixth edition of the ultimate cosplay battle in the Philippines.

The Hero Face Off competition was divided into three categories: the Kids Squad category, League of Heroes category, and the Face Off category. The competition now recognizes Filipino characters as part of the choices for the participants, apart from the anime’ favorites.

Hero TV prompts viewers to "Say I Love You" this love month

Hero TV celebrates Valentine’s season with a love-filled lineup for February leading off with a marathon of “Say I Love You,” the popular Japanese manga turned Anime series that captured the hearts of viewers here and abroad on February 14 (Saturday).

“Say I Love You” is a heart tickling tale of two high school students, Mei and Yamato, young people from different worlds. Mei, a shy and unassuming girl, is determined to make it through her formative years without making friends or getting a boyfriend because of the belief that people have the tendency to betray each other. But when she meets the popular Yamato and he becomes interested in her, Mei begins to rethink her beliefs and a blossoming relationship follows. Hero TV reveals January 2015 offerings

Hero TV’s lineup for January 2015 is nothing short of amazing as it offers only the best to anime fans with the popular movie “Rurouni Kenshin” premiering on January 1, 2015 and new localized anime titles in time for the anime channel’s 10th anniversary.

January Highlights

Consistent to its mission to offer a promising lineup every year, Hero TV is set to revamp the anime TV experience in its 10th year. “Rurouni Kenshin,” the story of a former assassin who becomes a wandering samurai, will premiere on Hero TV on New Year’s Day (January 1), 9PM. Meanwhile, much-anticipated titles such as “Gatchaman,” “Leviathan,” and “Taichi Chasers” will bring in excitement for 2015.

Hero TV throws Halloween Party, free movie screening in Megamall this Friday

PBB Teen Edition big winner and anime jock Myrtle Sarrosa leads this week’s Halloween event on October 31, Friday at Megamall Cinema 7 lobby. Hero TV enthusiasts, get ready for some trick or treat and parlor games as early as 11 am. Various booths and entertainment await everyone.

Admission is free and is open to all kids in costume plus one companion each. The first 500 qualified kids get a Hero event passport and treat bag at the registration booth located at the entrance area of SM Megamall Cinema 7 Lobby.

"Code Geass," "Heaven's Memo Pad" reach Philippine TV this September on Hero TV

Hero TV is giving anime fans a real treat this September, as it brings two new offerings to Philippine television this month.

The first that hit the air earlier this month is the popular theatrical OVA “Code Geass: Akito the Exiled,” which traces the story of a young man named Akito who receives the power of absolute dominance over any person. Will he be able to use this to restore peace, or will he let its tempting power devour humanity altogether? Hero Face Off to showcase the best of cosplay in the Philippines on Sept. 21

A collaboration of epic proportions is coming this September as Hero TV and Primetrade Asia, Inc. present the rise of the cosplay empire with the Hero Face Off 2014 during the launch of The Best of Anime (BOA) this September.

The Hero Face Off, happening on September 21, is now on its 5th year of showcasing the best of cosplay in the Philippines. The event will be celebrating the distinct Pinoy creativity as embodied in the year’s ultimate cosplay battle. This will all be happening in the midst of BOA 2014, which continues to bring the culture, art, and fun entertainment of Japan to the Philippines on September 20 to 21 at Function Rooms 3 and 4 of the SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

Pinoy Comic Legends get the spotlight on Hero TV this August

The country’s number one anime channel is turning its sights to the Philippines’ very own animated characters this month of August, when its special production “Comics on Cam” will be premiering on Hero TV.

‘Hetalia: Paint it White’ and ‘Gargantia on Verdurous Planet’ premiere on Hero TV

Two of the anime world’s most exciting and out-of-this-world creations will be hitting Philippine television this November, as the movie Hetalia: Paint it White and the series Gargantia on Verdurous Planet premiere on Hero TV on the 17th and 21st of November.
