Broadcasting live from SM City North Edsa, the ten remaining StarStruck V Survivors danced for their fans at the opening of the show. It's just too bad for Rox who couldn't dance as much because of a) high heels; and b) tube dress. Perhaps they weren't the ones who chose their outfits cuz I'm sure she wouldn't pick that if she knew she'd be dancing and jumping.
The surprise acting test of the survivors with GMA-7's "primera contrabida,"
Glaiza de Castro, was aired. They went under the direction of Cannes Film Festival Best Director,
Brillante Mendoza, for the film "Kinatay."
The girls did a drama scene with Glaiza entitled "Isang Umaga" where the survivors played the role of a girl who accidentally got pregnant while being sent to school by her sister (Glaiza) who works in a club. Well, "club" isn't such a bad term these days anymore, but it could be perceived that Glaiza's character works as a prostitute.
Knowing Glaiza, there was a lot of shouting and the survivors shouted back. But sadly, Glaiza ate them in whole. Personally, I liked Rox and Diva because they were able to deliver their lines well.
The male survivors, on the other hand, played a captive to an obsessed admirer played by Glaiza. I was laughing hard cuz everyone had a "bading" moment. Ian was shouting like a fag and Rocco's "ano ba?" was unforgettable. Sadly, Steven wasn't able to deliver at all.
Why they'd get contestants who could barely speak Tagalog when all the acting tests were in Tagalog, I really don't understand.
As expected, Steven and Nina were chosen the weakest in that challenge. Brillante Mendoza said that it's because Steven became limited to his dialogues (but of course) and Nina wasn't that motivated and was relying to her co-actor.
There was also a hosting test where
Wilma Doesnt and
Lucy Torres-Gomez played as guests. The survivors had their own antics but since it's a test, there were those who excelled and those who failed.
Wilma and Lucy named Nina and Steven to be the worst hosts. Now I'm curious where Steven will shine. He's not good in Tagalog and he's also not good in expressing himself in English?
Anyway, Lucy chose Ian and Piero as the best hosts for her, while Wilma chose Rocco for being intelligent. Lucy added that she also liked rox-star(?) but that makes me wonder if that's Ian (but she already picked him before that) who looked like a rockstar, or Rox. Rox's name might have reminded Lucy of the word rockstar. But I'm not so sure cuz they didn't flash either Ian or Rox's face when Lucy said that.
Kyla also played part in this episode by being the surprise celebrity duets of the survivors. Each had their individual pieces so it's kinda hard to compare. Although some of them really knows how to sing like Diva and Sarah among the girls and Steven and Piero among the boys. Steven, though, got tensed when he saw Kyla so the number didn't go well.
Kyla rated the survivors and Diva and Sarah both got a 9 from her, the highest score Kyla gave out. Both Rox and Nina got an 8 while Princess got the lowest score of 7.
Among the boys, Kyla chose Piero to give her highest of 8.5. Ian got an 8, Rocco a 7, and the lowest score of 6 went to Enzo and Steven.
Tomorrow is eviction night and not only 1 but 2 survivors will have to say goodbye. From how things went this week, Nina and Steven are at a risk to be voted out, especially by the judges Lolit Solis, Iza Calzado, and Floy Quintos.
