Rocco Nacino's Girlfriend

StarStruck V's Rocco Nacino's girlfriend of two years, Yvonne Romero.

What can you say? I can sense a break-up. Just kidding. But really, sudden fame and lack of time can do that.

Rocco is currently one of the favorites among the male contestants, and he's got some talent to back up that pretty face, too. So far, he has won the Best Male Music Video and another award for being the best male dancer during the Douglas Nierras week.

Will he be able to keep it up? Of course, he will. With a little help from his fans, that is.

Charice Wins Best Oprah Show Musical Performance Polls!

Charice won in Oprah.com's Best of 2009 poll under the Best Oprah Show Musical Performance category for her performance of her first single, Note to God. She got a whooping 70% of votes beating Black Eyed Peas who came in second with only 9%.

Let's watch that performance again:

Congratulations Charice!

StarStruck V - Fianca Cruz Goes Bye-Bye

Fianca Cruz got eliminated. She must have hated it more with the bangs she got from the make-over. Imagine changing your hair and then booting you out! I have nothing against it, though. I just feel for the girl.

Anyway, the elimination was predicted by the show's fans, saying that Fianca was the least applauded during the recent mall shows.

Ian Batherson (who is now sporting a silvery-grey rockstar do) and Diva Montelaba (whose long, black hair was cut so short ala-Rihanna) were also part of the Bottom 3.

PBB Double Up - People Evicted Yuri Okawa

It wasn't surprising at all that people voted against Yuri Okawa with a passion. Yeah, only those like her will like her (read: Mariel).

Yuri got 26.52% of votes. It was the highest, so there she goes. I was actually kinda hoping it was Hermes but oh well, he still needs to give Carol some more heartaches until the Bible-reading men-loving teacher lose her sanity.

I thought everyone loves Melissa and that she'd end up with no or least votes. But she ranked #11 with 1.08%. It was Johan who got the least number of votes with 0.32%. I believed Toni Gonzaga was right. Most of the viewers just didn't know Johan was there so they didn't vote for him. Same goes for Paul Jake =)

Anyway, Mariel was Yuri's runner-up with 22.94%, followed by Carol with 17.25%. To think that Carol had always been saved from eviction with high votes from her supporters.

Hermes got 9.80%. It wouldn't really hurt if he went instead of Yuri. But oh well, just like I've said, he still has a purpose.

Tonight's ranking (vote to evict):
1. Yuri - 26.52%
2. Mariel - 22.94%
3. Carol - 17.25%
4. Hermes - 9.80%
5. Rocky - 7.01%
6. Sam - 4.67%
7. Patrick - 3.90%
8. Rica - 1.60%
9. Cathy - 1.58%
10. Kath - 1.52%
11. Melissa - 1.08%
12. Tibo - 0.74%
13. Jason - 0.60%
14. Paul Jake - 0.46%
15. Johan - 0.32%

StarStruck V's Final 14

Ian Batherson, Sef Cadayona, Rocco Nacino

From my list of 5 favorites, the one that I favored the most didn't make it to the top 14. Well, the other 4 did, so I'm happy just the same. On the guys, there's Ian Batherson, and I like him for his physique. Actually, if the network is gonna build him up as a hunky star like Aljur Abrenica, Ian's body is already prepared for it. No more tedious workout to be done.

Enzo Pineda, Steven Silva, Piero Vergara

Steven Silva and Piero Vergara are 2 of my 5 personal bets. Steven because he's singkit, and Piero because he has a Jake Cuenca angle.

The girls are fine, even if one of my two favorite girls didn't make it.

Fianca Cruz, Sarah Lahbati, Diva Montelaba

Good thing the biatch didn't get in. What's her name? Astrid? The girl she was bullying got in, though - the Dean's Lister named Rox Montealegre.

Rox Montealegre, Princess Snell

Princess Snell used to be with ABS-CBN's Star Magic.

She was known as Kristina Snell over there.

Now this 3 are the ones who got in from the worldwide 8.

Rye Burgos, Nina Kodaka, Zeryl Lim

I still can't believe Naomi King didn't get in.

PBB Double Up – There Goes Rob

Rob got the boot. Thanks God it's neither Jason, Carol, nor Rica. I wanted Rob or Patrick out just to give justice to what they did to Rica.

And Rocky said he called Rica a "sheman" because he's already so comfortable with the girls? Oh c'mon. Then why did he say that when only the boys could hear?

I don't know but this "getting comfortable" thing isn't selling. If they're really just "already comfortable" with the girls, then they would have said all those things they talked about in private in front of the girls.

But wow! Rica got a whooping 38.55% followed by Jason with 35.81%. Carol also got a high percentage of votes (15.11%) compared to Patrick with only 6.21% and the evictee, Rob, with only 4.32%.

Seems like the televiewers don't give their votes to just looks anymore. Good thing. Cuz I'm really going for either Melay or Jason =)

PBB Double Up: Goodbye Patria

Riza Mae Patria got the lowest number of text votes in last night's elimination with 7.40%. On the other hand, Carol garnered the highest percentage of 69.51%. Rob and Yuri were safe with 11.74% and 11.35% respectively.

From the PBB site:
"Patria is said to be House B’s answer to the talkative and funny Melisa Cantiveros of House A. Patria left her family and friends in Siquijor to join PBB in hopes of winning the top prize. Despite her loss, Patria left the house rich in experiences and new friends. She was fetched from the house by her best friend and was welcomed by other ex-housemates. Patria said that she will miss everything inside Kuya’s house, but she remains positive that things will still turn out for the best for her here in the outside world."

The housemates will again give points of nomination tonight. One from House B (who won in the weekly task) will be in danger of being eliminated, while three housemates from House A (who lost in the weekly task) will be included in the text polls.

It's also tonight the the said Big Storm will be revealed.

Meanwhile, House A's Melissa and Jason will be on ASAP 09 later alongside ex-housemates Tom Mott and Princess Manzon.

Johnny Depp (not Rob Pattinson) is People's Sexiest Man Alive

So it's a hoax? Because after Robert Pattinson was reported People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, here comes the announcement that Johnny Depp is indeed People's Sexiest Man.

But still, Robert Pattinson is a part of it, as well as Ryan Reynolds, the Glee guys, Nick Cannon, and Bradley Cooper.

I guess this is already official cuz this is what appears in the People website.

Watch: Rhap Salazar Sings "All By Myself" on Ellen

Rhap Salazar gave his rendition of Celine Dion's "All By Myself" on The Ellen Degeneres Show. He got a standing ovation from the live audience just like Charice during her first appearance on the show.

When asked about who his idols were, the 12-year-old readily replied with Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Josh Groban, Michael Jackson, and Beyonce Knowles.

Rhap Salazar on Ellen

Oops! Looks like someone is following the footsteps of Charice. No other than the best friend himself, Rhap Salazar.

Reports say that Ellen Degeneres, the host who first guested Charice in her show (which eventually paved the way to the young diva's international opportunities), also showed interest in Rhap Salazar's vocal powers. Reason why Rhap is in Los Angeles right now.

Rhap recently won the major awards in the 13th World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles, California. He bagged the top titles Junior Grand Champion Performer of the World and Junior Grand Champion Solo Vocalist of the World.

With the quality and range of Rhap's voice, I'm sure he'll wow them all and the guesting will be a blast.

I just hope that they won't use another sad story of poverty to make someone from the Philippines become interesting. C'mon guys, these kids can sing. Make that their selling point.

PBB Double Up: Rocky Salumbides Enters the House

Tom Mott got the forced boot last Saturday due to some violations of the house rule. Prior to that, female housemate Yhel also received the same fate. So they're now being replaced with Rocky Salumbides (aka the current boyfriend of the award-winning actress Eula Valdez) and a certain Sam Pinto.

We know Rocky for his modeling stints abroad.

He actually won the Best Male Model of the World 2004 in Istanbul and it paved the way for international opportunities.

He was a featured Cosmo Hunk in 2008 and almost always on the catwalk of big fashion events (read: underwear shows) here in the country.

Congratulations Amanda!

amanda
Amanda Colley Van Cooll
won in the second season of Survivor Philippines. She bested 15 other contestants won the hearts of the jury in the end.

The half-Pinay, half-American construction worker in Alaska but had lived in Mindoro prior to the contest had her chance to turn the cards when her friend Mika (who lasted in the competition for up to the Top 5) gave her the moment to speak her heart out. Her family's situation seemed to win over the jury's hearts.

Many fans of the show thought it would be Justine Ferrer, the transexual castaway from Caloocan. But in a contest like this, there's really no telling who would win.

Unlike the first season, Palau had no leakage as to who would win. There were rumors that Jef Gaitan would emerge as the winner, but it was only good for what it was – a rumor.

Perhaps it was also the reason why GMA-7 chose to have a Top 3 this season instead of the first season's Top 2 – to eliminate the speculations and leakage.

It was also said that no one really knew the winner until last night, when the live finale was held at the Studio 5 of GMA Network Studios.

Despite the harsh words and betrayal that happened to them in the game, the Top 3 seemed to have forgiven one another for what happened. Justine even apologized to Amanda and her family last night for the things that she said which was aired on the last few episodes of the show. She said she also couldn't believe what she did and she requested that they give her a chance to prove herself worthy of Amanda's friendship.

I guess everyone was forgiving as Justine and Amanda were in Eat Bulaga! this afternoon as a pair in one of the noontime show's contests. They even won, mind you.

The two, with Jef, were also in an interview with Butch Francisco in Star Talk. Justine was so pretty and sad to say, even with makeup on, Amanda still looks like a tomboy. But it's an easy fix, I guess. All she needs is… a good stylist.

Catch Amanda and Mika later on Pinoy Records, and Echo Caceres on Wish Ko Lang. And of course, don't forget the Survivor Reunion Special tomorrow night on GMA-7's Sunday Night Box Office (SNBO).

SP: Palau - The Final Three

Part 2 of the Tribal Council had been full of anger. The desperation among each of the four remaining ones were so evident. There was this side of Charles that came out - that angry and palaban side of him. He had always been calm, with moderate voice, even during the heat of Justine's freak-out moment back at the camp. But it was different at the Tribal Council. He was even commanding Jef to tell the truth in a not so subtle manner.

Jef told Paolo that she's going to go with the original plan. At first it could be thought of as the plan she had agreed on with Justine and Charles, but which was later to be revealed that original meant her first alliance.

Charles chose to have the 2-million-peso condo unit, and eventually gave the Immunity Necklace to Justine. But unluckily, Charles was the one who got voted out.

There was a tie at first - with Jef and Amanda going against Charles, and Charles and Justine going against Amanda. Jef and Justine were made to vote again but same thing happened. Jef voted against Charles and Justine also still voted against Amanda.

In that case, Charles and Amanda were made to battle it out in a challenge of making fire. Amanda was able to keep her fire burning long enough to make her string break and likewise, break Charles desire to be among the Top 3.

The castaways will face the jury tomorrow. The preview showed Tara bashing Jef, Echo bashing Amanda, and Mika bashing Justine.

The Friday finale is already so near. Don't fail to catch the last 2 episodes of Survivor Philippines: Palau on GMA-7, right after Rosalinda.

SP: Palau - The Desperation Arises

Amanda talked to Charles in going against Justine. She pointed out to Charles that he has no chance in winning the top prize if he's going to compete it out with Justine. Charles somehow believed Amanda that's why he promised to give her the Immunity Necklace. But Justine somehow overheard it all, especially Jef and Amanda's conversation of plotting to vote Justine out.

Justine was furious. She kept on insisting that Amanda shouldn't have told them that she's already accepted her fate and ready to go home; that Amanda shouldn't have talked to Charles and Jef anymore to get her alliance's trust. It must be too hard for Justine knowing how gullible Jef and Charles were.

Charles decided that they should already be honest to one another. And amid the shouts and angry outbursts, Charles started telling Amanda of his decision. Justine was the one who broke it, though - that she was the one Charles decided to give the Immunity Necklace to at the Tribal Council.

Due to anger, Justine broke their pot. And they only have one.

At the Tribal Council, Paolo asked Charles if he'd take the condo unit or the Immunity Necklace. Charles took the condo, and Paolo took the Immunity Necklace from him.

If last season's castaways were made to voice out what they feel one by one, it was different tonight. One of the four remaining castaways would have to go out of earshot, while Paolo talked to the other 3 castaways about the one outside.

Amanda was asked to go out first. When Paolo asked Justine of her opinion if Amanda was deserving to be the winner, Justine said that Amanda was deserving if for her strength, but not as a person.

Part 2 of the Tribal Council will be aired tomorrow, the 3rd to the last episode of the season.

Would Charles really hand over the Immunity Necklace to Justine? Would Jef let her emotions take over her decision?

Charice Needs Our Support

I love Charice. Not just because she's a Filipino, but because she really is very talented. I just hope they're not making her look way older than her age.

And because I love her, I voted for her at oprah.com's The Best of 2009, under the Best Oprah Show Musical Performance category.

Do you love Charice, too? Well, then what are you waiting for?

SP: Palau - Charles Wins Immunity/Condo Unit

Amanda was so disappointed with what happened to Mika and after the Tribal Council, she kept her distance from the other 3 castaways. She slept on the other side of the shelter and she didn't speak at all.

Charles got the tree mail that told them of the last Immunity Challenge. It's another test of endurance as whoever could hold the string to keep a 50-pound crate high above the ground and without going beyond the designated point, wins.

Amanda's tears fell when Paolo told them they could also win a 2-million-peso condo unit if they won in the challenge. Perhaps she's thinking that Mika could have been there with her, and could have fought the challenge with her.

Jef was the first to give up. Judging from their physical forms it's not surprising that she wouldn't carry on a task that hard. Second was Justine. I'm guessing she didn't persevere enough. Perhaps because she thought she's already so safe? Amanda was crying before she gave up. It had been too hard for her at that time when she had shown great endurance skills in the previous challenges. Mika's eviction really took a great part of Amanda's spirit. She felt alone. She even said in a confessional that she was afraid to go back to camp after the last Tribal Council because her only one ally left is already gone. She even described Justine, Jef, and Charles as devils.

Charles, the last Immunity Challenge winner, couldn't have the best of both worlds. He could only have one of the rewards, that is, either immunity or the 2-million condo. If he chose the condo, the Immunity Necklace wouldn't go to waste. He had to pass it on to a fellow remaining castaway.

The problem arose when Jef told Justine and Charles that she couldn't vote against Amanda. She thought, anyway, that it wouldn't matter anymore because Justine and Charles were voting for Amanda at the next Tribal Council. But of course Justine saw the downside of it. What if Amanda also voted against the the person that Jef voted against? They would have a tie.

More problem would arise if Amanda would learn that Jef couldn't (for the sake of friendship) vote against her.

Would the next Tribal Council have another tie just like what happened to Suzuki and Justine?

Catch the 4 remaining episodes of Survivor Philippines: Palau right after Rosalinda on GMA.

"Daybreakers" Trailer

Another vampire movie is coming out. But this one doesn't have a love story in the main plot. Daybreakers is a story of a world inhabited by vampires, and the few remaining humans are farmed for blood. There are only a few uncaptured humans left and they fear their extinction. Their plan is to rebuild the human race.

Ethan Hawke stars in Daybreakers as the main protagonist named Edward Dalton (another vampire named Edward). The cast also include Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill, and Isabel Lucas, under the direction of Michael and Peter Spierig, the two who also wrote the screenplay.

Daybreakers comes out January 2010.

Ellen Degeneres on "O" Magazine

Ellen Degeneres appears on the December cover of O, The Oprah Magazine.

It started as a joke on Ellen's show but ended up beautifully as she's now on the cover together with Oprah Winfrey herself.

There are two cover versions of the mag. The one above is the cover that will appear on newsstands and the one below is the cover that subscribers will get.

And if you're wondering how the joke started, watch it summarized in the video below.

Maricar Reyes, Anne Curtis, Manny Pacquiao on Magazine Covers

Maricar Reyes looks so fresh on the cover of Women's Health Philippines's November ish. If others involved had a hard time coping up with the Hayden Kho series of scandals, Maricar obviously got away with it so triumphant that her career now is in full bloom. After a guesting in May Bukas Pa, Precious Hearts Romances, Maalaala Mo Kaya, and Your Song Presents, she is now plays opposite Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion in ABS-CBN primetime's Lovers in Paris.

Anne Curtis, on the other hand is so posh on the cover of Preview magazine's November 2009 issue. The Showtime host is said to be one of those being considered for the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the Korean tv series Save the Last Dance for Me.

Lastly, the most talked about magazine cover of the month is:

Manny Pacquiao on the cover of Time Asia makes us so proud. Just days after his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, he surprised us with this. He is now among the proud Filipinos who made it to the cover of Time - Cory Aquino and Chin Chin Gutierrez.

PBB Double Up - Delio Goes Bye-Bye

Delio Dimaculangan got booted out of the Pinoy Big Brother house last night for getting the lowest number of text votes from the viewers. The Batangueno chef only got 5.43% of the total text votes, the lowest among the five nominees.

Jason Francisco, the shy bad-boy from Mindoro, was the most popular with 51.42% of votes. He endeared the hearts of the viewers with his frequent funny moments with Melissa.

Tom Mott ranked 3rd with his 22.78%. Patrick Villanueva got 14.23% and Mariel Sorino almost got booted out with her 6.40%.

Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying" Music Video

Oh-em-gee! That's all we can say while watching this music video of Kris Allen's single Live Like We're Dying. His voice was so far from when he sang No Boundaries at the American Idol Season 8 finals. I'm a self-confessed Adam Lambert fan but hey, Kris Allen isn't bad at all! In fact, we love this new single!

Live Like We're Dying is the first single off of his self-titled 13-track debut album which will be released November 17th.

SP: Palau - Mika's Fight Ends

Amanda and Mika turned to Charles when they were quite sure Jef's not with them anymore. But despite the pinky promise Charles made with Mika, he remained true to Justine and Jef. The three voted for Mika, while Amanda and Mika voted for Jef.

Tara and Echo made a high-five when Mika was announced eliminated. Tara even kept fanning herself with her hand. Such victory for them to have Mika out and join them in the jury panel.

Anyway, the tree mail bore a twist. It said that a 7-member jury will choose the winner among the three remaining castaways. So it's gonna be a Top 3 for this season. And we were wrong in predicting that they're gonna eliminate 2 castaways next week before the Live Finale.

Just one more castaway out and they're off to the Finals! Would it be Amanda? Or Charles? It would actually depend on who would win the last Immunity Necklace for the season.

Is the supposed leakage about the 2nd Sole Survivor true? It had been circulating in the blogosphere recently that Jef is the winner. How about that?

Not bad at all. But if we were to choose, we'd definitely pick Justine.

Adam Lambert's New Guy

Our boy Adam Lambert, who had just so recently broken up with Drake LaBry, is now dating someone new? Adam seems to have moved on so fast. And I mean fast. LOL!

And the new guy? Another pop star and songwriter Ferras Alqaisi whom Adam worked with on his new album, For Your Entertainment. The two supposedly spent Halloween in a private costume party in LA.

Poor Drake, though. Fame and fortune really change one's taste.

SP: Palau - Amanda Wins Immunity (Again)

There are five towers which the five remaining castaways should climb. But before that, they have to get the ladder parts locked inside the crates submerged under the sea. And since the crates are locked, they have to search for the keys that are buried under the sands first before hitting the water.

Once they have fit the planks of wood that will serve as ladders in the tower, they will then have to climb to the top in order to pull a string that would raise their flags. The first castaway with the flag up wins the Immunity Challenge.

Amanda found her key first followed by Jef, Charles, Mika, and Justine in that order. While swimming towards her crate, something happened to Jef that made her call out to Mika saying "Mikes, di ko na kaya."

Mika helped Jef and naturally, Jef felt guilty about betraying Mika with regards to their alliance. But not for long. Jef only had to talk to Amanda and know that they could only bring her up to top 3 to make change her heart.

Amanda won the challenge. She had the advantage of an early start when she luckily found the key to her crate so ahead of everyone else.

Despite helping Jef out, Mika was still able to go neck to neck with Amanda. Mika could have won, actually, if she had the prescence of mind to put the second to the last plank of wood through the hole on the other side of the tower.

Mika and Amanda talked to Jef to know if she's still with them, or is she with Justine and Charles. Jef said she's not sure. And realized in the end that everything depended on her. Amanda and Mika needed her side, as well as Justine and Charles. Whoever she'd side with in the next Tribal Council will actually win.

Things would be different, though, if she sided with Justine and Charles. She had the feeling she would have the chance to be one of the top 2 if ever she sided with them.

Who will be voted out tomorrow? Will Jef have the heart to vote against Mika? The one who helped her from drowning?

Survivor Philippines: Palau is almost at its end. Two more castaways will be eliminated next week before the live finale next Friday, November 13th.

Aga Muhlach on Charity Works and New Movies

Aga Muhlach is busy with helping kids affected by the flood in the recent typhoons. He has been working with Jollibee for the past 20 years in giving gifts to the needy kids during the holidays, but according to Aga, next year is going to be bigger because they will not only be doing outreach programs during the Christmas season but all year round.

Aside from charity, Aga will also be busy with his acting career next year. After the movie with Regine Velasquez, which they are currently shooting now, he's also going to do a movie with Lea Salonga and another with Angel Locsin.

Aga and Regine had 2 blockbusters in the past - 1998's Dahil May Isang Ikaw and 2001's Pangako Ikaw Lang. They're reunited after 8 long years in this Joyce Bernal-directed romantic film with the working title of Of All the Things.

Aga and Lea also had 2 movies in the past to back them up - 1992's Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal? and 1995's Sana Maulit Muli. Will they still have a following after more than a decade of not being together? Remains to be seen.

Angel Locsin, on the other hand, is going to be paired with Aga for the first time. The actor had been paired with Kristine Hermosa, Angelica Panganiban, and Anne Curtis in the past, and it seems like Aga is becoming any young actress's dream leading man.

Either that, or Aga is being paired with them to keep his name on top. Just my two cents, though.

But then Aga is a good actor for sure. Proof is, he's among those being considered for the role of Ninoy Aquino in the movie about the late President Corazon Aquino's life.

Langit-Lupa

If Amanda and Mika felt like 7-year-olds with the dolphins, the other 3 castaways also had so much fun playing Langit-Lupa at the camp. Jef was so happy she wished Amanda and Mika wouldn't go back just yet so they won't be stressed.

The three made a plan of telling Amanda and Mika that they had already told Charles about his fate, so Charles should act sad like he already knew he'd be voted off. They had to make Mika and Amanda feel that they still had the girls' alliance.

The Immunity Challenge had been explained and the episode showed some teasers for tomorrow. Something happened to Jef, though, while in the water-part of the challenge like she called for help and Mika narrated how Jef, panicking, asked her for help.

I really just hope that Justine's plans would work out. That smirk on her face when Paolo reminded them about Amanda's refusal to accept the Immunity Bracelet in exchange for the reward was priceless. But had Amanda been wiser, she could easily have accepted the bracelet. She could have been safe and a sure part of the top 4. But would she win tomorrow's immunity? We'll soon find out =)

PBB Double Up - Force Eviction

The new girls of House A was given a chance to have another male housemate from the other house. The chance was given to them to even out gender distribution in their house. It can be noted that they're mostly girls in House A, and that is why Kuya was so keen on putting another male in House A.

The thing was, the girls had to kiss the House B male housemate that they want on the forehead while he was sleeping. And of course he shouldn't see them or know what they were doing while they were putting on those 2 kissmarks.

They're choice was Paul Jake, and based on the rating they gave the male housemates in the adjoining house, their least preferred male housemate in House B was Rob.

It seemed that Paul Jake was a light sleeper, and the girls weren't able to put on him those kissmarks. As a result, they got their least preferred - Rob.

The new House B, likewise, got to choose between Carol and Yhel because majority of House B were men.

House B chose Carol! She was so sad, though, because she would miss Hermes and also, she never got to tell him she was sorry for calling him a flirt.

----------

A mock interview was also done to choose who among them would be sent to one of the five other Big Brother shows that were currently airing in different countries.

But of course, the housemates thought it was the real thing so they prepared hard - outfit and all - for the event.

----------

To cap the night, the first housemate to be force evicted was confirmed. Yhel was yet again found guilty of talking about the nominations despite the fact that she's always being reminded (and punished) for that.

SP: Palau - Amanda Wins Immunity

Immunity Challenge.
The winner will also get the chance to talk to his/her loved ones here in the Philippines for 15 minutes. Shaun was very emotional when he got to see a video message from his wife. It also made him so determined to win the challenge.
The castaways will stand on a raft with a pail of water on top of their heads. They could use both hands in holding the pail but after 30 minutes, only 1 hand would be allowed.

Jef's pail fell off first. Justine was next to give up because she couldn't bear the pain on her head anymore. Third was Charles because his hand holding the pail became numb.

In the end, Amanda and Shaun battled it out. But Shaun's knees wobbled, causing some water to spill out.

Amanda was so happy with her first immunity win. She also immediately called her aunt, even requesting for a Graham when she returned.

Amanda picked Mika to bring with her in calling her other loved ones using the Smart Pug & Talk. That meant Mika could also call her loved ones!

Jef was hurt, and she realized that Charles was right in saying that it's really just Mika and Amanda. No Jef included.

The castaways had a visitor - a castaway from Season 1 most famous for his kontrabida image. Used to be tagged as the Bad Boy of Primetime, Marlon would sleep at the Sorsorol camp.

Will he bring inspiration to the Top 6? Or is he going to play with their tactics?

SP: Palau - Flattery Over Ice Cream

Justine was both shocked and overwhelmed that Shaun chose her to share the reward with. It’s her first time to be on a helicopter, much more, a helicopter ride that would give her a tour of all of Palau.

The two of them were taken to an island where they were treated to an ice cream feast. And of course, Shaun made the move to get Justine’s confidence. He even said that the nicest way to end the show is to have the first cast-off become the sole survivor. Flattery went a long way, too, because Justine seemed to become more convinced when Shaun said that if ever she won, she’d be the most beautiful sole survivor so far.

It seemed though that Justine was just very good in putting up a front, because she’s still true to her alliances Jef and Charles. They wanted either Mika or Shaun out. If one of the two got the immunity, then they’d vote the other out, and vice versa.

Jef and Charles, perceived to be two of the weakest from the very start, look like on top of the game now. Charles got the Immunity once, and Jef was almost always among the front runners during challenges.

Immunity Challenge tomorrow is another endurance test. Something that involves a bucket and a raft. Will Mika win so that her Red Pearl won’t have any effect in the next Tribal Council?

SP: Palau - Shaun Wins Reward

Everyone missed Suzuki. Shaun even cried because his plans to bring Zuki up to the final 2 has failed. He even blamed Charles for Suzuki's fate but Charles reminded him that he kept on telling them that the girls were going to vote for Suzuki. Shaun, though, insisted on using the Hidden Immunity Bracelet himself.

Shaun's point was, had Charles voted for Justine, the Transexual Beauty Queen would have been eliminated at once, avoiding the tie Justine and Suzuki went through.

Jef and Charles talked about who to vote for next. They're focusing on Shaun and Mika but it would all depend on who would win the Immunity Challenge. Jef said, though, that she thinks she wouldn't pass on the chance of Mika having the Red Pearl.

Reward Challenge
The remaining 6 castaways competed to win the Php100,000.00 reward. It's a long course of challenges but on the first part, only four will be chosen to go on to the next level. The first four castaways to dig their way under the cage, climb the net and jump over to reach the blue mats will be able to continue the challenge.

Mika was the first one out of the cage followed by Jef. Jef's improvised tube (the Sorsorol buff) though, got caught while climbing the net which delayed her a bit and exposed her right chest. But just the same, she ended up being the fourth to complete those who will move on, with Shaun, Mika, and Charles already on the mat.

Amanda was so disappointed that she didn't even made it to the first part. Moreso, because she wasn't even able to beat Jef.

The last part of the challenge was battled out by Shaun and Mika. Shaun had a good lead, though, making him win the Php100,000.00 reward.

SP: Palau - Goodbye Suzuki

The game is getting more exciting than ever, with the weak castaways (read: Charles and Jef) using their minds to strategize in order to survive. Jef realizes (for the nth time) that everything is just being fed to her by Mika. Good thing she realizes that before it's too late.

When the first 3 members of the jury joined the Tribal Council, Amanda was made to stay in her seat while the rest of the castaways go out. It's an activity where the one on the hotseat will have to answer Paolo's questions while the others are out of earshot. Everyone went through it but the most haunting part was Suzuki's turn. He knew he's going. And he acted like there's nothing he could do to stop that.

Shaun decided to use the bracelet so his 3 votes, the highest that night, weren't counted. Both Suzuki and Justin got 2 each and the first tie breaker was held.

Mika, Jef, and Amanda voted for Suzuki while Charles and Shaun went for Justine. Suzuki had to say goodbye. But before he left, he hugged each and every one of the castaways. The longest embrace went to Shaun. Suzuki trusted Shaun so much until the end. If he only knew.

The dreaded Red Pearl, which would add 2 votes against the person holding it, was given. And the recipient? Seemed like Suzuki carefully weighed things in his mind because he took time in deciding on whom to give it to. When he finally gave it to Mika, the chef couldn't suppress her smile. It's as if she was so expecting it all along.

"BandaOke!" Replaces "All Star K!"

"BandaOke!" is a new show that will replace "All Star K!" on its Sunday timeslot. Much to the delight of their fans, the new show will still be hosted by Allan K and Jaya Ramsey.

BandaOke! is a modernized version of All Star K! and boasts of a live band and a new breed of singers - Frencheska Farr, Jay Perillo, and Geoff Taylor - from the recently-concluded "Are You the Next Big Star?"

The game starts with two teams. Each team consists of 1 coach and 3 members. The coaches of both teams will have to answer a question to determine who will play first, the winner will have the option to play or pass. There are three rounds, and the team having the most money after the final round wins. The winning team members will then compete individually.

BandaOke! will premiere this Sunday, October 25.

SP: Palau - I Can Hear You

Shaun had stomach aches so he went out of their little shelter to unwind a little. Charles and Suzuki eventually had to go out also so the girls thought they were safe to talk about who among the boys to vote out.

Mika told her plan to the rest of the girls. She wanted Shaun out and she's quite sure Shaun and Suzuki had already found the Hidden Immunity. They had to make Shaun believe that the girls were with him in voting against Justine. If ever there would be a second elimination like last week, they'd go for Suzuki.
Little did the girls know that Shaun was within hearing distance.

In the end, Mika was still able to reverse the situation. She told Shaun that she only told that in front of Justine to make the transsexual castaway believe that they're not voting for her.

Shaun still trusted Mika after all that. He trusted her enough to admit to her that the Hidden Immunity Bracelet was with him.

Justine, meanwhile, was making a move to save herself from eviction. She told Charles that the girls were going straight for Shaun, and that he and Suzuki should do the same. But then Justine told the girls not to vote for Shaun because it was the obvious. Shaun would surely use his Hidden Immunity Bracelet making the votes against him not counted.

Justine was feeling the pressure. If Shaun would use the bracelet, the castaway who would get the second highest number of votes would be evicted. So she's trying to make the other castaways to vote for either Shaun or Suzuki.

SP: Palau - Charles Wins Immunity

Immunity Challenge time once again and the 7 remaining castaways were given body paints in different colors. They had much fun painting themselves, as much fun as they had hitting one another's plates. The plates also had 7 different colors matching the color of the castaway's body paints. The castaway with the most number of remaining plates at the end of the game, wins.

It was a triple tie between Suzuki, Charles, and Mika, so they had a tie breaker. The boys ganged up and at the end of the round, Charles had the most number of plates left.

Suzuki and Shaun still wouldn't tell Charles about the Hidden Immunity they found while the rest of the castaways were enjoying their rewards. But Mika felt it. She was sure that the two had the bracelet. And they wouldn't tell Charles because the two knew that Charles was tight with her.
The three girls - Amanda, Jef, and Mika - talked about who to vote out on the next Tribal Council. Amanda and Mika wanted either Justine or Suzuki. But Jef, though she didn't tell the other girls about it, was firm on Shaun. It seemed that she's having a mind of her own. And now she's saying that Suzuki doesn't know how to play the game and just goes with whoever they tell him to vote out. But she's friends with Suzuki and she doesn't want Suzuki voted out.

Rihanna - "Russian Roulette" Music and Lyrics

"Russian Roulette" is the first single from Rihanna's fourth album, "Rated R," which will be released November 23rd.

Rihanna - "Russian Roulette" Lyrics:

Take a breath, take it deep
Calm yourself, he says to me
If you play, you play for keeps
Take a gun, and count to three
I’m sweating now, moving slow
No time to think, my turn to go

[Chorus]
And you can see my heart beating
You can see it through my chest
And I’m terrified but I’m not leaving
Know that I must must pass this test
So just pull the trigger

Say a prayer to yourself
He says close your eyes
Sometimes it helps
And then I get a scary thought
That he’s here means he’s never lost

(Chorus)

As my life flashes before my eyes
I’m wondering will I ever see another sunrise?
So many won’t get the chance to say goodbye
But it’s too late too pick up the value of my life

(Chorus)

Alicia Keys - "Doesn't Mean Anything" Music Video and Lyrics

"Doesn't Mean Anything" is the carrier single of Alicia Key's album, The Element of Freedom, which is coming out December 1st.

"Doesn't Mean Anything" Lyrics:

Used to dream of being a millionaire, without a care
But if I’m seeing my dreams and you aren’t there
’cause it’s over
that just wont be fair
darling,
rather be a poor woman living on the street,
no food to eat,
cause i don't want nobody if i have to cry.
cause it's over
when you said goodbye!

all at once...
i had it all
but
it doesn’t mean anything
now that you’re gone
from above seems i had it all
but it doesn’t mean anything
since you’re gone

now i see myself through different eyes,
it's no surprise!
being alone will make you realize
when it's over!
all in love is fair I shoulda been there, I shoulda been there, I shoulda shoulda.

all at once...
i had it all
but
it doesn’t mean anything
now that you’re gone
from above seems i had it all
but it doesn’t mean anything
since you’re gone

I know I pushed you away
What can I do that would save our love
Take these material things
They don’t mean nothing
Its you that I want
All at once...
I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Now that you’re gone
From above,
Seems I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Since you’re gone

All at once...
I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Now that you’re gone
From above,
Seems I had it all
But it doesn’t mean anything
Since you’re gone

SP: Palau - Hidden Immunity Found!

Justine, Jef, and Mika went to see the president of Palau while Charles and Amanda went for a boat ride.

Shaun and Suzuki meanwhile busied themselves in looking for the Hidden Immunity upon arriving at their camp site. Suzuki immediately saw a bottle containing another clue which said that the Hidden Immunity could be seen if one would lie down on a log. This gave them the idea that it's hanging on a tree. They didn't really have to lie down on it because Shaun spotted it right away.

Justine, Jef, and Amanda had fun talking with the Palau's president with the free coffee and muffins that Amanda couldn't resist. They also visited a chieftain where a feast was prepared for them.

Likewise, Amanda and Charles enjoyed jestskiing and being served like real tourists by no less than a Filipina waiter.

Shaun and Suzuki burnt the clues. They didn't want the others to see those, which would lead them on in thinking that either of them already got the Hidden Immunity. They even lied to Amanda when the latter asked if they found another clue leading to it.

When Justin and the gang arrived, they gave the muffins (a take-home from having coffee with the president) to Suzuki who got nothing from yesterday's action. Or so they thought.

PBB Double Up - The First Batch of Nominees

Princess and Jason are the nominated housemates in House A.

Jason's "bad boy" attitude and his inability to reach out to his fellow housemates made him the top pick with 7 votes.

Princess's aggressiveness which showed when she and Delio had a little fight got her 6 votes.

Meanwhile, House B has Jimson and Carol as nominees.

Jimson got the highest vote among the nominees. He was the one responsible for House B's failed weekly task and appeared (perhaps without his knowing) kontrabida to Patrick most especially when the latter decided to do a sacrifice so they could at least get 50% of their weekly allowance. Besides, Jimson's other half would still be in the house if ever he got evicted.

Carol got the lowest number of votes among the nominees. With 5 points against her, Carol was so emotional when host Toni Gonzaga talked to the housemates. Her naive, God-fearing, and conservative persona worked against her.

SP: Palau - Tara and Echo on Startalk

Survivor Philippines: Palau cast-offs Tara Macias and Echo Caseres were interviewed by Butch Francisco on Startalk yesterday.

And so many of us thought that Tara's behavior in the island was only because of homesickness, hunger, and the deprivation of stuff she's used to have as a "city girl."

But we were wrong. It's really her natural self. Too bad.

Disney's First Black Princess

Check out the poster of "The Princess and the Frog." The movie will surely inspire girls of African descent as it features Disney's first black Princess. What took them so long to come up with the idea, anyway? They have Asian, French, and so on. But this is the first time that they feature a black princess.

It features the voices of Anika Noni Rose as the princess Tiana, Oprah Winfrey as Tiana's mother, and Bruno Campos as the Prince Naveen (the frog), among others.

The movie will premiere in New York and L.A. on November 25th and will soon after be released widely on December 11th.
