Pops Fernandez is being rumored to be romantically linked to Chavit Singson, the former governor of Ilocos Sur.
The singer's former husband, Martin Nievera, meanwhile, doesn't believe that those rumors are true.
"Is that for real? You guys may have the wrong guy. I’m almost sure you have the wrong guy. Ang alam ko, hindi siya [Chavit]. I know they’re very good friends. They’ve always been good friends," Martin said, as quoted by pep.ph.
He also said that perhaps "people are putting some seasoning once again," putting malice on what is really just friendship.
He admitted, though, that while he has met a lot of his former wife's male friends, he is yet to know who Pops is dating.
"I’ve met a lot of Pops’s male friends. I don’t know which of them is the one. But Pops is very available," he said.
He then continued with compliments for the mother of his two sons. "She’s gorgeous. She’s always been gorgeous. I like her then, I like her now," he said.
