She says she did nothing wrong as she's always been vocal, especially in her preliminary interviews in the pageant, about her place of birth (Doha, Qatar) and about her father being an Indian national.
The thing is that those facts are in total contrast with what's written in her birth certificate where it says she's born here in the country.
Venus argues, though, that had it been a ground for disqualification, the pageant organizers should have disqualified her during the first parts of the screening process, and not at this point where she had already won a crown.
BPCI meanwhile stands firm by its decision but remains quiet regarding the issue.
