Jolina Magdangal on working with Claudine Barretto: "Make sure lang na okay s'ya"

Jolina Magdangal admitted that she had some hesitations regarding working with Claudine Barretto again.

During the thanksgiving press event for the soon-to-end afternoon series "Flordeliza" where she plays one of the main characters, Jolina was asked about the possibility of working again with her former "Ang TV" co-star Claudine Barretto.

Claudine is making a showbiz comeback through the Star Cinema movie "Etiquette For Mistresses" which also stars Kim Chiu, Iza Calzado and Kris Aquino.

"Nagka-work kami 'di ba?" Jolina said in an interview that aired on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight."

The two did the TV series "Iglot" when they were still both with GMA-7, but it was cut short because, according to her, Claudine had a personal problem that time.

"Naputol yung show so parang nagkaroon ako ng hesitation to work with her kasi baka may problema s'ya. 'Pag nagkaroon s'ya ng problema… parang natapos bigla yung show," she added.

She narrated that it happened during the time when she was about to get married, also adding that professionals don't let personal issues affect their work.

"Hindi ako sanay nang ganu'n, e. Tas ikakasal ako nung time na 'yon, so ang dami-dami kong iniisip. Ang thinking ko, 'pag professional tayong lahat, anuman ang maging problema natin, meron tayong trabaho…" she said.

It was from that experience that she started to have some hesitations about working with Claudine.

"Nagkaroon lang ako ng parang, 'a, ok, kung magkaka-work with her make sure lang na okay s'ya, gusto ko okay s'ya. Sa akin kasi gusto ko yung mga kasama ko masayahin ang lahat."

Those hesitations went away, however, when the two of them met at the "Ang TV" get-together.

"Nag-get-together yung 'Ang TV' nakita ko kung gaano s'ya ka-sincere to embrace me. Nawala yung hesitation ko to work with her. So if ever na may chance, ba't hindi? I think we're grown-ups already para harapin ang mga bagay-bagay kung magkakaproblema man."

After "Flordeliza," Jolina will star in another teleserye, "Written In Our Stars," opposite Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby.
