Russel Brand Files Divorce from Katy Perry

Russel Brand has filed for divorce from singer Katy Perry after just one year of marriage citing irreconcilable differences.

There were speculations about their relationship coming an end when they didn't spend Christmas together.

A few days after Christmas on December 30, 2011, news about Brand filing for divorce in Los Angeles came out.

The English actor and the Teenage Dream singer first meet when Perry did a cameo appearance in his movie Get Him to the Greek in 2008. They met again in September 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards and began dating after that.

The couple became engaged in India in December 2009 and got married on October 23, 2010 in a traditional Hindu ceremony near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan, India. It was the same location where Brand proposed.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry will hold a one-night concert in Manila on January 22, 2012, 8 PM, at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. It is part of the singer's "The California Dreams Tour." Click here for details.
