GMA-7 to air Miss World 2013 coronation night

The grand coronation of Miss World 2013 will be held in this year’s host country, Indonesia, and will be aired in the Philippines by GMA-7 on September 28, Saturday, at 10 PM.

The pageant will be broadcast live from Sentul International Convention Center in Jakarta. The venue can sit up to 11,000 and is fitted with state of the art sound and lighting equipments.

Several challenge events leading up to the finals will determine the fate of the candidates. Among them are Beach Fashion, Beauty with a Purpose, Sports and Fitness, Talent Competition, Top Model, and World Fashion Designer Award.

Megan Young, the Philippines’ representative, will compete for the blue crown against equally beautiful women from around the world. She was named Miss World Philippines on August 18th, besting 25 other gorgeous candidates.

The 23-year-old actress and host also won the Best in Fashion Runway and Miss Sports special awards. Will she also win the Top Model and Sports and Fitness fast-track events in the international pageant?
