Magnitude 4.4 earthquake hits Quezon (June 19, 2013)

Polillo, Quezon was hit by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake on Wednesday night, June 19, 2013.

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the earthquake at exactly 7:05 PM with epicenter located 40 kilometers (km) northeast of Polillo.

The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 5 km.

The earthquake was felt in Bulacan and Infanta, Quezon, as well as in Metro Manila specifically Quezon City, Makati, Ortigas, and Taguig.

Intensity III: Quezon City; Infanta, Quezon
Intensity II: Taguig City

According to the Phivolcs bulletin, damage and aftershocks are not expected.
