I felt for Hansen when Teacher Monet interrupted him in the middle of the song to sarcastically ask him where those "kulot-kulot" came from. Previously, the headmaster taught them the vocal improvisation technique which, as Hansen told Van eventually, was what he was trying to apply.
As it was explained to them, the kulot thing doesn't work with all singers. With Van's help, Hansen realized that it's better for him to sing his gala night piece without the kulots. Van even sang his song for him with the kulot and sang it again without the kulot. Hansen clearly heard the difference.
The two are becoming closer, especially now that they both have something against Bugoy. The "friend possessive kulot scholar" made the move to approach the girls Van and Hansen are, in one way or the other, kinda linked with. He first talked to Bea and told her to avoid Van because Van doesn't like her. He then proceeded to tell Cris to avoid Hansen. According to Bugoy, his primary reason is because he doesn't want to see the girls hurt. He further told Cris that he doesn't like aggressive girls, and that it's okay to be aggressive "kung may patutunguhan".
Bugoy's move reached Hansen's ears and he didn't like it one bit. He told Van about it and both of them share the same thoughts about the whole thing. Bugoy is getting too far.
From a viewer's point of view, Bugoy is definitely getting far with regards to his feelings. Nagdadalaga na siya, and he's trying all he can do about getting rid of the girls his love interest(s) are interested of. It would have been easier if Bugoy shows his true colors. His co-scholars might understand him more. Afterall, no one believes he's not gay.
Bugoy's efforts in talking to Bea and Cris came to waste. His friends are now avoiding him...
