Richard Gutierrez is the lead star of GMA 7's newest action-adventure series that's set for its pilot episode on Monday, July 14, 2008. Richard plays Grecko Abesamis who works for the anti-crime network called The Advocate. He got into an accident which resulted in his being a cyborg.
Richard now choreographs his own fight scenes as he is knowledgeable in such martial art sports as karate (brown belt), kickboxing, muay thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, arnis, and tapondo.
Codename: Asero is the first tv series of Heart Evalengista from GMA 7. She plays the role of Emily San Juan, a belly dancer and the lead character's love interest.
The series is being directed by Mark A. Reyes who has also worked with Richard in Kamandag. Cast members include Rhian Ramos, Francine Prieto, Janno Gibbs, and Michael V. among others.
