Amalia Fuentes has resigned from the upcoming series Muling Buksan Ang Puso which is topbilled by Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee and Susan Roces.
On Monday, May 27, 2013, a statement was released by ABS-CBN through the network’s head of Corporate Communications, Bong Osorio.
The statement reads: “Ms. Amalia Fuentes has resigned as actress for the upcoming teleserye, Muling Buksan ang Puso, due to creative differences with the production team and the challenges and demands of regular taping schedules.”
The series was supposed to be Amalia’s first teleserye and a reunion project with Susan Roces. The two were rival movie queens back in 1960s.
Amalia’s replacement, however, hasn’t been announced yet.
Meanwhile, Muling Buksan Ang Puso is Julia Montes and Enrique Gil’s comeback on primetime television. Julia’s last primetime soap was Walang Hanggan, while Enrique’s was Princess And I.
