The teaser poster for 300: Rise Of An Empire has been released. It opens in Philippine cinemas in August 2013 distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The movie is a prequel to the 2006 movie 300 which was a blockbuster during its run. It is based on the graphic novel titled Xerxes by Frank Miller, and tells the story of how Greek general Themistokles attempted to unite Greece.
The movie stars Sullivan Stapleton as Themistokles, Eva Green as Artemesia, and from the first movie, Lena Headey reprises her role as the Spartan Queen and Rodrigo Santoro still plays the role of Xerxes, the Persian King.
300: Rise Of An Empire is directed by Noam Murro from the script written by Zack Snyder (director of 300 and Man Of Steel) and Kurt Johnstad.
