Magnitude-5 quake shook Surigao Del Norte

A magnitude-5.0 earthquake shook San Isidro, Surigao Del Norte on February 24, 2012 at exactly 1:42 PM. It was tectonic in origin.

It was felt at Intensity 4 in Dapa and Gen. Luna, Surigao Del Norte and in Siargao Island.

Intensity 3 was felt in Surigao City and Cabadbaran, Agusan Del Sur, while it was felt at Intensity 2 in Carrascal, Surigao Del Sur and Butuan City.

No damage and no aftershocks were expected.
