Star Cinema’s Sisterakas and One More Try are two of the most-watched movies in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
MMFF opened on December 25 and it collectively grossed Php 105.4-million on its first day alone.
Sisterakas, which stars Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino and Ai-Ai de las Alas, had a record-breaking Php 39.2-million opening day gross. It was the highest MMFF opening day gross, toppling the record of last year’s most-watched festival entry Enteng Ng Ina Mo which made Php 38+M on the first day.
One More Try, on the other hand, ranked third with Php 13.6-million. The movie stars Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiban in a modern family drama that centers on love and trust.
