Sam Pinto is the sexiest Filipina, according to FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2012 poll.
The Kapuso actress topped the poll, making it a back-to-back win for her. She was also hailed as the sexiest woman in the Philippines by the same poll last year.
Sam beat Angel Locsin who can be considered her toughest contender. The Kapamilya actress topped the first two partial results released by FHM on May 4 and May 11. Sam, who placed second during those results, overtook Angel and topped the third and fourth partial results released on May 18 and May 25 respectively while Angel closely followed at number 2.
The news was revealed last night by Pia Guanio in GMA-7’s evening news program 24 Oras. FHM magazine will officially announce the results in a special 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2012 supplement bundled together with FHM's July 2012 issue.
Aside from Sam, there’s only one Pinay celebrity who won the poll two consecutive years in a row. Katrina Halili was hailed FHM’s sexiest Filipina in 2006 and 2007. Meanwhile, Angel Locsin also won the title twice, although not a back-to-back, in 2005 and 2010.
FHM 100 Sexiest in the World is on its 10th year in the Philippines. It started in 2003 with Diana Zubiri dominating the poll, she was followed by Cindy Kurleto (2004), Angel (2005), Katrina (2006 and 2007), Marian Rivera (2008), Cristine Reyes (2009), Angel (2010), and Sam (2011 and 2012).
