Jennifer Lopez, 41, and Marc Anthony, 42, have decided to end their marriage after seven years of being together.
In a joint statement to People, the celebrity couple said: "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
You wouldn't expect the marriage was on the rocks during the last American Idol season where Jennifer was a judge. Marc was so visible during the show's audition legs. He was also seen in the audience during the live shows and even performed with Jennifer at season finale.
Jennifer and Marc wed in June 2004 in a secret ceremony in the singer/actress' Beverly Hills home. They have three-year-old twins named Emme and Max.
Marc is Jennifer Lopez's third husband. She married Ojani Noa in 1997 and Cris Judd in 2001. Marc, on the other hand, only had one marriage before Jennifer. He married former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres in 2000 (with renewal of vows in 2002).
