The 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies (2016) honored the best in mainstream and indie films of 2015 during the awarding ceremony held on Sunday, March 6, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
"Felix Manalo" was a big winner with four awards including best actor for Dennis Trillo (tied with Piolo Pascual for "Silong") who played the title role in this biopic of the Iglesia Ni Cristo founder. The film also won movie of the year as well as best director for Joel Lamangan.
Meanwhile, "Heneral Luna" won three awards and "Honor Thy Father" got two, including the best supporting actor award for Tirso Cruz III.
Star Cinema's "A Second Chance," on the other hand, won a single award but a notable one at that - the best actress award for Bea Alonzo.
