Gerald Anderson plays the role of an elementary school teacher diagnosed with neurological movement disorder X-linked Dystonia Parkinsonism (XDP), also known as Lubag Syndrome, in this Saturday's (December 12, 2015) episode of ABS-CBN's "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

This is not the first time for Gerald to portray a character with movement disorder. He did the role of someone with Tourette Syndrome in 2009, also for "MMK."
But there's a first for the actor in the upcoming episode. He is also portraying his first gay role, although the story is not about being gay but is focused on the very rare XDP Syndrome, a disorder believed to be endemically occurring in the Philippines.
Also in the cast are Snooky Serna, Raikko Mateo, Kyle Banzon, EJ Jallorina, Veyda Inoval, Karla Cruz, Dale Badillio, Angelo Ilagan, Ronalissa Cheng, Trina Legaspi, Ellaine Quemel, and Lui Manansala.
The episode is directed by Nuel Naval from the script written by Benson Logronio.
