Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano are now engaged, and they have formally announced it through ABS-CBN's "The Buzz" on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Such way to start the love month!

Rumors about their engagement started when Toni's "Home Sweetie Home" co-star, Sandy Andolong, greeted her on Instagram for her birthday.

Sandy used the term "fiance" on Toni, starting the speculations that the Kapamilya star is already engaged to Paul, her boyfriend of almost eight years.

"You are a very good & caring daughter, sister, & friend. A loving & loyal fiancé, & more importantly a very obedient child of God," part of Sandy's message says.

And indeed, the rumors are true.

According to reports, the proposal happened on January 21 in front of Toni's family in their Rizal home. It was a day after Toni's 31st birthday.

In the interview, Toni denied that the proposal happened because she was pregnant. She also said that her parents, who are known to be strict, approved of the proposal.
