Anton Bernardo arrested for illegal drugs

Former sexy actor Anton Bernardo (Laurence Mendres in real life) was arrested for possession of illegal drugs over the weekend.

Bernardo, 39, initially got the attention of the authorities for not wearing a helmet while driving a motorcycle along the corners of Main and 7th avenues in Barangay Socorro, Quezon City.

Aside from not wearing a helmet, the authorities also found illegal drugs and several drug paraphernalia in Bernardo’s possession.

He will be charged with driving without helmet and possession of illegal drugs.

Anton was among the more daring actors that dominated the Titillating Films of the 90s. He was part of “Anakan Mo Ako,” “Kesong Puti,” “Patikim Ng Pinya” and “Sa Paraiso Ni Efren.”

He made a comeback in 2008 as one of the minor characters in GMA-7's "Joaquin Bordado." He disappeared again from showbiz after that.
