Quezon was rocked by a magnitude 5.3 earthquake on Wednesday evening, September 3, 2014.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the earthquake at exactly 9:43:00 pm, with epicenter located 92 kilometers (km) northeast of Jomalig.
The quake had a depth of 10 km and was tectonic in origin.
The magnitude 5.3 earthquake was also felt at Intensity III in Quezon City.
According to the Phivolcs bulletin, no damage is expected from the quake but aftershocks could be felt.
