The International Business Awards (IBAs) is the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2014 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories including the Philippines.

The Gold Stevie Award recognized ABS-CBN’s business achievements in the past year for its supremacy in terms of TV ratings and box office sales for Star Cinema movies, increase in revenue, groundbreaking business ventures such as ABS-CBNmobile, theme park Kidzania Manila, and TV home shopping channel O Shopping, its public service initiatives such as the “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” campaign and relief and rehabilitation efforts for the victims of disasters, and the success of its Philippine TV’s 60th anniversary celebration.

More than 3,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Website of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others.

Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August.

Last May, ABS-CBN bagged a Grand Stevie Award at the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards and was the only Filipino company to receive the highest honor given to five companies in the region. It also won a Gold Stevie Award in the Services Company of the Year category, while ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio won a Gold Stevie in the Woman of the Year for all Asia-Pacific nations (except Australia and South Korea) category.
