Kim Chiu talked about her S&R experience with a fan she described as “alta” during her guesting in Kris TV that aired Wednesday.
According to the Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo? lead actress, she went to S&R in Taguig on Sunday to do some shopping and there were fans who wanted to take pictures with her.
She willingly gave in to the requests even if she was talking on the phone but there was this one “tita” who was forcing her niece and nephew to take pictures with the actress.
“’Yung tita sabi n’ya ‘Si Kim Chiu, o! You know her? You know her? It’s Kim Chiu! It’s Kim Chiu!’ Parang ‘yung mga bata, lalaki ‘yun tsaka babae na mga maliliit, tinutulak n’ya. ‘It’s Kim Chiu! It’s Kim Chiu! Take a picture with Kim Chiu! It’s Kim Chiu! It’s Kim Chiu!’” she said.
The kids really didn’t want to have their pictures taken with someone who they probably didn’t know. The little girl was even holding on to her brother’s shirt while the tita was pushing her towards Kim.
Kim obviously pitied the kids because she mentioned remembering her pamangkin who she wouldn’t force to do anything like that if the kid doesn’t want to.
After a while, though, the little girl agreed when her mom accompanied her in the picture-taking. The boy, however, couldn’t be forced.
But Kim met the family again at the counter and the tita approached her again to repeat the picture-taking. But again, the young girl didn’t want to so Kim just ignored them and paid for her purchases.
Then it was posted on Facebook that Kim was a snob.
Urmyne Imbong wrote: “Just saw Kim Chiu at SnR Fort Bonifacio and was disappointed after noticing that she’s not that sort of a ‘Cebuana’ I thought of her after all. She barely could put a smile on her face whenever someone ask for a picture. What’s most shocking was, she didn’t even accommodate a little girl’s request to have a picture with her on the flimsy excuse that the little girl already had one earlier.. Wouldn’t blame Gerald Anderson for choosing Maja over her. I certainly would do the same.”
On Twitter, Kim admitted what happened to the fans who were asking about it, but also explained what really happened that made her do what she did.
Meanwhile, Kim’s first comedy movie, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo, which is also her first movie with love team Xian Lim, has already earned over P100 million since it opened July 31st. It’s still showing in cinemas on its second week.
