Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito, no label yet on current state of relationship

Andi Eigenmann recently denied her involvement in the much-talked about break-up of Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil. According to reports, she was the third wheel that triggered the end of the almost 5-year relationship of the former couple.

During an interview Andi said she was worried about how her former boyfriend Jake Ejercito would take the rumor, especially that he is currently in London and she can’t prove the malicious talks wrong.

But why would she worry about Jake when they are just friends?

In a taped interview with The Buzz on Sunday, Boy Abunda mentioned about the recent Intramuros tour that she and Jake were seen in together. When asked if they talked about the current status of their relationship, Andi said they currently don’t have any label to it.

“Ang pinag-usapan lang po namin is that when we are ready and kapagka tamang oras na, at saka magkakaroon siguro ng label,” Andi said. “Pero at this moment, hindi naman po… parang sa tingin ko mga bata pa rin kami and may sarili pa kaming mga bagay na gusto naming mag-focus on. Like s’ya po nag-aaral pa s’ya, ako naman I’m focusing on my career and Eli, so hindi pa muna importante kung anuman ‘yung meron sa relationship namin.”

She also revealed in the interview that both she and Jake are the jealous type. So she got jealous when Jake was linked to It’s Showtime host Coleen Garcia?

“Nung time kasi na narinig ko about it, hindi n’ya ako kinakausap. So hindi ko alam kung ano po talaga ‘yung totoo. E, ang dami ko pong naririnig so initially maniniwala ka or magkakaroon ka ng dout,” she said.

She added, however, that she trusts Jake so much that she will believe whatever he tells her. “At the same time, para sa akin I still trust him, so whatever he tells me, whatever he says, I believe.”

Andi is currently working again with Matteo Guidicelli in the upcoming teleserye, Galema. Has Jake ever got jealous of the actor who she first worked with in Agua Bendita?

“Nakilala na n’ya si Matteo even [before] when I was working with him in Agua Bendita cuz Jake and I had been friends forever. E, for some reason, kahit pareho pa kaming maging single ni Matteo, e, hindi n’ya daw ako type, hindi ko din s’ya type,” she said, laughing.

When Boy said that should make Jake happy, Andi quipped, “It should!”
