Heart Evangelista was obviously hurt by the situation where she’s torn between her parents and her boyfriend, but revealed that it was not the first time that they interfered with her love life.
The pretty 28-year-old actress cried a lot during the interview that she granted to GMA-7’s showbiz-oriented talk show, HOT TV, on Sunday afternoon.
“Everytime a relationship would end, a big reason would be them dahil nahihirapan akong ihati ‘yong sarili ko sa mga taong nagmamahal sa ‘kin at sa taong gusto kong ipagtanggol,” Heart told host Raymond Gutierrez.
She also confessed that the last time a thing this big happened between her and her parents was during her relationship with Jericho Rosales when they didn’t want to see her for three long years.
With regards to the presscon hosted by Cecile and Rey Ongpauco last week, Heart said they didn’t talk to her privately about the issue before that.
She also revealed what her boyfriend Chiz Escudero told her regarding the matter. “He said to do what I think is right. Na galangin ko sila, na ‘wag akong mag-alala dahil lilipas din ‘to, basta gawin mo kung ano ang tama, ano’ng tama sa puso mo.”
But has Chiz taken any steps to appease her parents?
“Nagawa na namin lahat e. Ayaw na nila sa amin. Ayaw nila kay Chiz, hindi naman din pwedeng ipilit ang isang bagay kung ayaw talaga. Siguro ang best na lang is after this mananahimik na po ako, si Chiz, at hahayaan na lang namin na lumipas dahil lahat ng tao nasasaktan ngayon. Hayaan na lang natin lumipas to. It will all fall into place in God’s time.”
And Heart had a message to her dad who is currently not in the pink of health: “I love you very much. I know you’re watching me now. Okay naman tayo. Please, please relax and feel better kasi ‘yon lang ang magagawa nating lahat, ikalma ang sarili natin,” she said through tears.
