Bacolod Masskara won It’s Showtime’s inter-town competition. They bested seven other talented groups during the grand finals that was held on the show’s April 28 episode.
All ten judges gave them the perfect score of ten, making them the grand champion of the talent show’s fifth season.
The group from Bacolod took with them 2 million pesos, while Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, the province they represent, got 1 million pesos.

But with Derek’s leaving ABS-CBN and transferring to TV5, Star Cinema is allegedly not going to push through with the team-up anymore.

She eventually becomes human and takes Pokwang’s baby during the reception of the child’s baptism. That child will eventually be called Aryana.
Hollie Cavanagh chose to sing Queen’s Save Me and Miley Cyrus’s The Climb during the American Idol 11 top 6 performance show.
Randy Jackson said her Queen song was a good performance, while Jennifer Lopez called her personal song choice “perfect.”

Topbilled by 2008 FAMAS Best Child Actress Ella Cruz, the much-awaited fantasy tale features the adventures of a typical teenager named Aryana (Ella) whose life makes a full twist on her 14th birthday as a dark curse turns her into a mermaid.
Phillip Phillips chose Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls and Dave Matthews’ The Stone to sing at American Idol 11 top 6 performance show.
His Queen song was rated “good” by Randy Jackson and his personal choice song was called a little too artsy by Jennifer Lopez. Randy, however, disagreed with J. Lo with the second song because according to him, Phillip’s artsy side spoke to him a hundred million percent.

In a recent much-talked about episode, Kristel's character Andrea, the rebellious stepsister of the roles of Piolo Pascual and Cristine Reyes, was slapped by Christopher.
American Idol 11 is now down to its top 6 contestants. Filipino-American Jessica Sanchez is still in the show and tonight, she sang Luther Vandross’ Dance With My Father and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
The judges liked the first song with comments ranging from “truly amazing” to “the most beautiful,” but with the Queen song, the judges thought Jessica needed to rock it out a bit more.
Nothing Compares To You is the title of the movie that would reunite the current Box Office King and Queen, Derek Ramsay and Anne Curtis, after the very successful No Other Woman.
Cristine Reyes, their No Other Woman co-star who shares the Box Office Queen title with Anne, is not in the new movie, though.

Callalily is reviving Eraserheads’ Minsan for the soundtrack album of the upcoming movie The Reunion.
The soundtrack is also an Eraserheads’ tribute album so it will be a delight to the fans of the band.
The Reunion movie stars Xian Lim, Enrique Gil, Enchong Dee and Callalily’s front man Kean Cipriano. The coming of age movie tells about the story of a group of high school friends who met several years after, all looking for the true meaning of love and happiness. They think something they did in high school was keeping them from moving on.
Xian Lim will be releasing a new album this May 3 titled So It’s You with the carrier single of the same title. Watch the album teaser below.
