Teen Gen, the new youth-oriented program of GMA-7, will air its first episode on December 16, a Sunday, right after Party Pilipinas.
The show stars Protégé winners Jeric Gonzales and Thea Tolentino, together with a bunch of new and young faces that include celebrity kids like Arkin Magalona (son of Pia and Francis Magalona), Gianna Revilla (daughter of Lani Mercado and Bong Revilla), and Gabriel de Leon (son of Sandy Andolong and Christopher de Leon).
New names include Diane Hernandez, Juancho Triviño, Sunyee Maluche, Abel Estanislao and Seth Quisay.
Teen Gen is created by Marikit Villanueva-Langit and directed by Mark Reyes, the same team who did T.G.I.S.
The new show is actually a spinoff of T.G.I.S., with Angelu de Leon and Bobby Andrews, original cast members of the hit 90s television show, reprising their roles as Peachy and Wacks respectively.
Lead by Jeric and Thea, the cast guested on Party Pilipinas last Sunday. They sang and danced to the official theme song titled Everybody’s Alright with Julie Anne San Jose who sang the original version. It was composed by Protégé finalist Mikoy Morales.
On what people should watch out for in Teen Gen, Jeric said, "Dapat nating abangan sa Teen Gen 'yong napakasayang bonding nitong tropa na 'to at s'yempre kung pa'no namin haharapin 'yong mga issues sa family namin."
Thea, on the other hand, said, "At dapat masubaybayan n'yo kung pa'no mai-in love ang bawat love team at sure na sure na makaka-relate kayo.”
