38th MMFF (2012) – Winners List

The 38th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night was held on Thursday, December 27, 2012. As expected, Nora Aunor won Best Actress for her performance in the movie Thy Womb which was directed by Brillante Mendoza who also took home the Best Director award.

Dingdong Dantes

It was a two-peat for Dingdong Dantes who won Best Actor for his role in Star Cinema’s One More Try. He was also last year’s Best Actor for his role in Segunda Mano, also produced by the ABS-CBN film outfit.

Thy Womb, El Presidente and One More Try won big, but some official movie entries to the festival didn’t get any award like The Strangers, Sosy Problems and Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako. Shake Rattle and Roll 14, meanwhile, took home one award.
