Dolphy’s son Eric Quizon has commented on last night’s incident at his father’s wake that involved Annabelle Rama and Chito Alcid.
Eric said they understand the talent manager for causing a scene but they just wish it didn’t happen during Dolphy’s wake at the Heritage Park in Taguig City.
“Naiintindihan namin,” Eric said. “Pero sana hindi dito nangyari.”
During the July 13 wake of the Comedy King, Rama was seen angrily confronting showbiz reporter Chito Alcid at the dining area of Heritage Park. She was captured on video by ABS-CBN News while she was holding a microphone stand high up in the air, aiming it at Alcid.
Many netizens bashed Rama for her act, saying that it was not the right place and time to do that.
Eric, however, was kind enough to understand what transpired.
“Sana hindi nangyari, pero wala tayong magagawa,” he said. “Siguro ganyan lang talaga ang buhay natin sa industriyang ito.”
When asked what his father could have said if he were alive, Eric said, “If my dad were alive, ang sasabihin lang niyan, ‘Si Tita Annabelle naman talaga, o,’ gano’n lang ang sasabihin no’n.”
