H.O.T. TV is going to premiere on August 5, replacing Showbiz Central on its Sunday afternoon timeslot. That said, SC only has two episodes left, with its final show airing on July 29.
Regine Velasquez headlines the new showbiz-oriented show. The Asia’s Songbird is indeed going to have a talk show. A career shift now that she’s a mom? I doubt it. Perhaps she’s just testing other fields like when she started acting, but with that one-of-a-kind singing voice, I’m sure she’ll have musical assignments every now and then.
Roderick Paulate is joining the show as one of the hosts, together with SC regulars Raymond Gutierrez and Jennylyn Mercado.
Raymond and Jennylyn are so lucky they will have a new show after the other was axed. And with Pia Guanio’s maternity leave from showbiz, it left John Lapus, who hosts SC’s Don’t Lie To Me segment, as the only dropped from the old show.
All is doing great with H.O.T. TV. The Kapuso network even released a behind-the-scenes series of photos from the show’s official photoshoot, which showed all four hosts of the new show.

Thinking he’s gonna do a showbiz talk show, Kuya Dick now reminds me of Boy Abunda in this photo:
