2 died in Alabang Town Center Shootout

An undetermined number of gunmen fired at the security guards of an armored van in Alabang Town Center before noon Friday, February 10th, resulting to the death of two individuals.

Muntinlupa City Police said a gunman and an armored van guard were killed in the shootout.

Suspects robbed the van that was getting cash from a fast-food restaurant at the mall. It resulted in an exchange of fire that left two persons killed. Another armored van guard was wounded and was rushed to the hospital.

No information has been released whether suspects were able to get cash from the van.

Meanwhile, @Vansphmanila was highly criticized by Twitter users when it tweeted an invitation to see their Alabang Town Center branch at the height of the news. The tweet, which has already been deleted, said:

@Vansphmanila :Since Alabang Town Center is trending,y not drop by the latest VANS concept store in ATC's new wing.

The brand later tweeted an apology and said they didn't mean to offend anyone.
